Shalini Guleria’s revolutionary ScienceBox enterprise empowers kids to enjoy the magic of science.
Shalini makes science accessible through exciting activities using ordinary household items, provided via school visits, holiday programmes and a subscription club. The club funds free ScienceBox visits and events for low-decile communities. During lockdown Shalini created an online STEM challenge series and she recently launched STEM Connect, linking senior students with university science mentors. Shalini has received numerous accolades including the Toptal Women Global Award, a Hamilton Civic Award and selection for the Asian New Zealand Foundation’s ‘25 To Watch’ list and the YWCA’s ‘Y25 Influential Women’ list. She is also pursuing her PhD in breast cancer research at a prestigious Melbourne institute.
