Greta Dromgool’s teaching and contributions to the Science Learning Hub have boosted science education regionally and nationally. 

Greta is hugely committed to growing a love for science, sharing her enthusiasm for the discipline with her students (currently as Head of Science at Berkley Normal Middle School) and with her peers through her role as a content creator and professional learning facilitator for the Science Learning Hub. She has been proactive in learning about Te Ao Māori, integrating Mātauranga Māori into her teaching approaches and supporting others to do the same. Currently Greta is working with Manaaki Whenua/Landcare Research and five kura kaupapa to develop a suite of bilingual, online resources to support kura as kaitiaki/guardians of repo/wetlands. Greta also has roles in the NZ Association of Primary Science Educators, Earth and Space Science Educators NZ and the Waikato Science Teachers Association.
