Just five years since completing his doctorate, Dr. Brendon Gill is recognised as a global expert for his efforts supporting the quality of nutritional formulas relied upon by society’s most vulnerable.

His work proving the vitamin and nutrient content of Fonterra’s infant formula has been critical to success in a number of highly regulated markets. Two of Dr. Gill’s methods are now benchmarks for this type of chemical analysis and used in laboratories in Australasia, Asia, North America and Europe. The AOAC (an international standards body for analytical chemistry) recognised his protocol for analysing Vitamin D in dairy-based nutritional powders as Method of the Year in 2017 and at the same time gave Dr. Gill its Technical Service of the Year award. He had already been named an AOAC fellow in 2015 and was recently appointed to its top scientific body, the Official Methods Board.

These accolades contribute to Dr. Gill’s impressive resume of roles in working groups, review panels and fora worldwide, demonstrating his extraordinary commitment to quality science and passionate advocacy for the highest possible standards in analytical chemistry.
