Vitamin K2 (also known as MK-7) can substantially improve bone and cardiovascular health but is extremely expensive to produce.

Dr Berenjian sought to resolve the problem by simplifying the methods used to ferment, extract and purify MK-7. His patented biochemical reactor design merges several operations into one efficient and environmentally friendly system. The process improves product stability and biological activity and reduces processing time, cost and waste.

During the design process, Dr. Berenjian discovered that fermenting raw milk with Bacillus subtilis natto (a probiotic bacteria) created a MK-7 rich drink. This product could make the benefits of Vitamin K2 available to consumers at a much more reasonable cost than is currently possible.
