Spreading a love of science within and beyond the classroom.

Nataliia Kravchenko is the creator of “Magic Science” an interactive science show for primary and intermediate students. After seeing the show, Te Awamutu Primary School initiated a class on the nature of science and science discoveries using a plan developed by Kravchenko.

Through her science club, Te Awamutu College students have contributed research to the Global Water Experiment; submitted crystals to the International Year of Crystals and compared how beans grow on earth and in microgravity through the Space Seeds programme.

A regular Science Fair judge and active member of Science Inspired Mentors, Kravchenko has also developed NCEA earth and space science courses as an alternative to the traditional chemistry, biology and physics options.
