The aim of this award is to recognise a Waikato Scientist or Science Team whose research represents a major contribution to environmental sustainability, restoration or conservation or to understanding or preserving biodiversity in the greater Waikato region.

Secondary School Science Teacher/Educator/Communicator (download entry form)
The aim of this award is to recognise a major, recent contribution toward encouraging and promoting an understanding and appreciation of science to the Waikato wider community, including secondary school students.

Emerging Scientist (download entry form)
The aim of this award is to recognise a major, recent contribution toward advancing a person’s emerging career in science in the Waikato region.

Science Entrepreneur (download entry form)
To recognise a major, recent achievement in commercialising a scientific achievement from the Waikato region that has the potential to add value to New Zealand.
Award: $4000

Lifetime Achievement (download entry form)
The aim of this award is to recognise a Waikato scientist whose career attainments in research represent a major contribution to science of relevance to the Waikato region as well as the international profile of New Zealand Science.
